Hi, My name is Kim Watson and i run KATS Netball Club. I am very proud of my club, and over the years we have achieved many things. We have now decided to put together this webiste for everyone. Club members can come and find out all they need to know, ie: fixtures, up and coming events and to purchase new kit. Here you will find out everything the club has achieved, all details regarding training times and places and how to join the club if you are interested.

We are always looking for new members to join the club, and after browsing through our pages we hope you would like to come and join the madness.

KATS Netball club was first developed in 1999 with two teams KATS and KITTENS. Both teams were in the first division Colchester league. Kim Watson started the club with a sponser from her husbands business "Kim & Andrew Trucking" giving them the name KATS's. When starting the club only had 16 members, it now holds over 90 members ageing from 5 - 60!

There are 6 qualified netball coaches, one of which who was the youngest player to pass both her coaching qualification and "C" award umpiring qualificaion at just 15 years old.

The club consists of 18 umpires. 3 "B" awards, 13 "C" awards, and 3 Beginners. We have 2 qualified "C" award testers and 3 qualified umpiring mentors. The club has supported most of the umpires and paid for their courses and tests. We mentor our umpires throughout the seasons and prepare them for their tests.

One club member went on to play for Essex County N.C and for the Mavericks Super League team. Over the years we have had members selcted to play for the County Academy and Regional Potential Talented camps. In 2009 another one of our players was chosen to play for a Regional Team.

We prize ourselves on being a united club, who not only join together for our love of netball, but enjoy weekends away to Pontins, have quiz nights and Christmas parties. We also have a social team who work together on Club days out.

Congratulations to Kats Hurricanes, Kats Storm and Kats Seabreeze who all made it through to the CUCST Knockout 09/10 Final.

Well done to everyone who played and considering the terrible weather conditions on the night you all did the club very proud. On behalf of the teams a big Thankyou to the spectators that braved the down pour and supported the girls!
